nEXT85 Edwards:

Edwards is proud to have launched a new turbomolecular pump, the nEXT85, which builds on the success of the highly popular EXT75DX to deliver a pump with significantly improved performance in a smaller package, while maintaining the same high levels of reliability.

The new nEXT85 rotor has been optimised to achieve both higher speeds and higher compression while maintaining reliability and reducing size. John Wood, Senior Product Manager, Scientific Pumps at Edwards commented, “We are delighted to launch the new nEXT85 – it is an incredible leap in technology, offering class leading performance for all applications, and yet is the smallest pump in its class on the market.”

nEXT85 is perfectly suited to a range of R&D and High Energy Physics applications, and ideal for analytical instrument uses. nEXT85 delivers the operational and service benefits of the existing larger nEXT range such as end user serviceability and enhanced communication options.

The in-built infrared temperature sensor directly measuring the rotor temperature is unique to nEXT85, delivering an increased performance envelope and improved thermal control. The nEXT85 also improves on the communications of nEXT pumps with an on-board USB port allowing simple communication with Edwards’ free nST software, even when the pump is in use. The pump is also available in standard or higher compression variants, allowing selection of the perfect variant for the application. Click on this link to visit the product page.
