Turbomolecular Pumping Stations

TIC Pumping Station

nEXT turbomolecular pumping stations are configurable with turbomolecular pump speeds ranging from 47 to 400 l/s and a choice of oil sealed or dry backing pumps ranging from 1 to 20 m3/h. All our nEXT turbomolecular pumping stations feature an integrated TIC turbo and instrument controller offering full control of the package via a simple intuitive interface.

The nEXT turbomolecular pumping stations are supplied fully assembled and ready to run straight out of the box and include common accessories such as mist filters and mains cables as appropriate to the chosen pumps. As fully featured high end stations they include RS232 serial communications and Windows® software for monitoring and control.

TAG Pumping Station

Our T-Station is a low cost, compact turbomolecular pumping station that seamlessly combines either a nEXT85H or a nEXT300 turbomolecular pump with either a dry diaphragm or oil sealed backing pump, and a simple controller, providing pumping speeds of 47 to 300 l/s.

The T-Station comes with an integrated TAG controller which enables single button start/stop of the system. With the ability to control one of our active gauges, vent valve control and delayed start of the turbomolecular pump to either time or pressure if a gauge is fitted.

The integrated air cooler acts to cool internal power supply and pump/controller for quiet operation avoiding multiple fans.

nEXT Turbomolecular Pumps

The nEXT family of compound turbomolecular pumps delivers high performance and flexibility in a compact footprint, with speeds between 47 to 1250 l/s and compression ratios for up to 10-10mbar.

Edwards' nEXT turbos are an efficient short, medium and long-term investment with high performance and reliability, and are totally end-user serviceable.

Venting & Cooling

Optional turbomolecular pump vent valves can be ordered as part of a cart assembly, with the ability to select vent mode for automated venting with no user intervention.

Integrated air cooler acts to cool internal power supply and pump/controller for quiet operation avoiding multiple fans.

Communications & Controls

TIC Controller

The TIC (Turbo and Instrument Controller) provides total system control and automatically recognises and supports the nEXT Turbo pumps, plus up to three Edwards active gauges. Cooling and vent valve support is provided directly from the controller. The TIC controllers also control backing pumps, either directly or via the relay box. Time delays and normal speed signals may be used to control events such as turbo start and there is a comprehensive selection of protection and safety interlock features. The TIC turbo controller can either be rack or bench mounted and provides a useful hub for the flexible operation of a wide range of vacuum system configurations.

TAG Controller

The TAG (Turbo and Active Gauge) controller is a small, compact, low cost pumping system controller, which is suitable for a wide range of vacuum applications. It is compatible with the nEXT Turbo pumps. A separate 24V controller is required to power the TAG controller and connected Gauge. In addition to a turbomolecular pump it can control a backing pump, a vent valve, an air cooler and an Edwards active gauge. The TAG controller is controlled by an easy to use interface. A large clear LED display shows the pump speed or vacuum pressure. The compact size of the controller is ideal for use on bench-tops or suitable mobile platforms.

Backing Pumps

nXDS

Edwards nXDS Dry Scroll pump provides excellent vacuum levels, vapour pumping capability while been quiet and offering ultra-low maintenance intervals that even the customer can carry out. Overall it provides superior performance and reliability together with very low running and maintenance costs. The nXDS is a smart investment combining great performance with low overall running and maintenance costs.

RV

Edwards RV is considered the most robust and reliable vacuum pump in its class. It's unique engineering design and manufacturing technology have made it successful in the widest ranges of applications from clean physics to wet chemistry. The Edwards RV is a solid short, mid and long-term investment for it's users, and is also available in Atex, Fomblin and Remote Control variants.
